Williamson County Shelter to host Denim and Diamonds Fur Ball

FROM THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY REGIONAL ANIMAL SHELTER

Join the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter’s (WCRAS) fifth annual Denim and Diamonds Fur Ball from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 25.  The gala will be held at La Frontera’s Marriott North, 2600 La Frontera Boulevard, Round Rock, Texas, and includes dinner, a silent auction, and entertainment.  This year’s event will feature emcee, Amanda Salinas, co-anchor of “Good Day Austin” along with guest speaker, Dr. Laura Hobgood-Oster, local author, Southwestern University professor, and WCRAS volunteer.

Attendees will be celebrating the shelter’s success and building for the future, as event proceeds will help build better enrichment programs and add space for the animals of Williamson County.  Limited seating is available.  Tickets are $75 for single or $125 for couple seatings and can be purchased at the animal shelter, 1855 S.E. Inner Loop, in Georgetown, or online at their website at www.wilcopets.org.  Tickets must be purchased or reservations made by Tuesday, October 21.  For more information, contact the shelter at 943-3322.

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is the only shelter solely devoted to the animals of Round Rock, Cedar Park, Hutto, Leander, and Williamson County.  WCRAS continues to maintain the no-kill status, with more than 7,500 animals housed during the last year.  This is possible with extensive community support, which allows us to build shelter improvements and implement new life-saving programs.
