FROM THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS
The San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter invites the community to give a cat a forever home during Thankful Cats Adoptions now through Nov. 29 at the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter’s Adoption Center, 750 River Road, as part of the nationwide Home 4 the Holidays pet adoption program.
During the Thankful Cats Adoptions, every adoptable cat’s adoption fee will be discounted to only $20. The adoption will include the sterilization, rabies vaccination, de-worming, general health check, microchipping, and testing for Felv/FIV. In addition, the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter will have select animals’ adoption fees reduced by 50% until Jan. 2, 2015.
“With as many as 7 million homeless pets in the U.S., it is important everyone get involved to help save an orphaned animal this holiday season,” said Cole Evans, Animal Shelter Supervisor. “We’re proud to be a part of this amazing campaign and are dedicated to placing orphaned pets in homes so they can experience a happy new life.”
The team at the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter is specially trained and can help families choose the perfect pet for their personalities and lifestyles. “We can’t think of anything better than seeing these beautiful cats and dogs find their loving, forever families this holiday season,” Evans said.
