Austin Pets Alive!

Tashi

Tashi

Fox Terrier, male, 8 years, 2 months old

Tashi is a cautious lad upon meeting new people and dogs, and new experiences, too. He can be shy and snappy with strangers. But give him a little time to get acquainted and he’s a new Best Friend Forever.

Gracie

Gracie

Whippet, female, 3 years, 2 months old

Athletic and smart, Gracie has a lot to offer her future forever family. Her favorite activities include jogging alongside you (on foot or on bike!), playing tug, chasing tennis balls, and sneaking in kisses when you least expect them.

Oscar

Oscar

Pit Bull Terrier, male, 4 years, 4 months old

Oscar spent a few months in a foster home and was sweet and hilarious. He was always cracking his friends up by doing something silly like jumping into the shower with them or pouncing like a cat! He LOVES to sleep and cuddle.

Dovey

Dovey

Domestic Shorthair, female, 3 years old

Dovey is a precious girl, with a silver coat swirled with streaks of tan. She’s playful and very sweet, and loves to be around other kitties!

CandyCandy

Domestic Shorthair, female, 4 years, 9 months old

Candy is relaxed and affectionate around children and other cats! She is afraid of dogs, however. Otherwise, she is confident, meowing at you in the kitchen and following you around the house – hoping to sit on you!

Texas Humane Heroes

Miss PrissMiss Priss

Domestic Shorthair/Mix, female, 1 year old

Hi! I’m Miss Priss! You’ll have to excuse my shyness…I’m getting used to living indoors! I’m a sweet girl and am ready for a home so that I can share my love. Once I have a chance to adjust to my surroundings, I look forward to being your new friend!

JoeyJoey

Domestic Shorthair/ Mix, male, 2 years old

Hi, I’m Joey! I am lounge superstar. I would love to spend my days just lying around in my favorite window people watching and bird watching. I love even more to interact with my people and cuddle nose to nose if you’ll let me.

BrandyBrandy

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix, female, 1 year old

Hi, I’m Brandy! I’m a pint-sized pittie with tons of love to give and adventures to take! Fetch is my favorite, I’ll retrieve and bring a ball right to your feet. I’d love to join you for a hike or game of tug. Is there a Brandy-sized space in your life?

AlanaAlana

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix, female, 6 months old

Are you looking for your own personal ATHLETE? Well, look no more! I’m Alana and I love to run and play! My favorite thing to do is play fetch, whether it is with a ball or a stick longer than me!

CasperCasper

American Blue Heeler Mix, male, 1 year old

Hi, I’m Casper the friendly dog! I’m ALL about belly rubs, playtime, and chasing my dog friends around the yard. I can be a little shy around the guys, but I’m quite the ladies man! I’ll just need a little time (and plenty of yummy treats) to get to know you better.

Thundering Paws Animal Sanctuary

Angelo BlueAngelo Blue

Domestic Shorthair, male, 1 year old

I am a very independent kitty. I’m a lover, not a fighter, and am also pretty laid back. I’m not that big on being carried around but will sit in your lap sometimes. I enjoy the company of other kitties very much because I love to play and be silly. I live with several dogs and like them a lot, too.

ClaireClaire

Domestic Shorthair, female, 6 years old

This lovely lady was rescued from the streets of Austin. Claire is very affectionate, good natured and an absolute purr machine! She gets along fine with other kitties. She knows two other dogs, gets along with both and sometimes chases one around the house.

MaryMary

Domestic Shorthair, female, 3 years old

Mary is a sweet black cat with big golden eyes who was rescued from a bad situation. She’s a quiet girl who prefers people to other kitties. She likes being petted a lot, especially on her back and near her tail. Mary would appreciate a calm forever home and would not mind at all being the only pet.

QueenieQueenie

Domestic Shorthair, female

Queenie was left behind when her person passed away. She likes people and follows them around for attention. Queenie has adjusted well to new situations. She’s an adult cat, age unknown, spayed, vaccinated, and ready for a new home.

PiperPiper

Mix, female, 11 months old

Hi, my name is Piper and I am looking for my forever home. I am a very spirited pooch and I love to run and play! I am great on a leash and we can have fun walks and jogs together. I have met some other dogs and children and I think I would love to play with them.

Austin Animal Center

TuckerTucker (ID A683030)

Australian Shepherd mix, male, 1 year old

Tucker had been passed around between 3 different owners before going into his now great foster home, where he is thriving!  He is now receiving  the necessary attention a pup needs and has learned new skills!  He has lived with another dog and cat and regularly attends a doggie play group.

SamSam (ID A638351)

Pit Bull mix, male, 2 years old

Sam is friendly with kids and adults and he has been very nice, easy to handle, and sweet-natured for all of his veterinary treatments here at the shelter. Sam has lived with other dogs in his previous home, but he’s not a fan of cats, so his new home needs to be feline-free. He does need some management with other dogs – he’s not very good at sharing things like food or treats with other dogs and he’ll need some time to get used to new dogs.

PiperMs. Piper (ID A703589)

Domestic Medium hair, female, 7 weeks old

Piper is just a kitten and needs to live indoors with her new owners. She is at a perfect age to introduce her to other pets in the household; if you need information on how to introduce existing pets to your new pet, just ask a counselor while you are completing your adoption.

BennyBenny (ID A701248)

Terrier mix, male 2 years old

Benny is small but very energetic! Loves to walk on his leash and seems housetrained. He also enjoys playing fetch, so bring a tennis ball when you come to meet Benny!!
